Having grown up in the bustling college town of Pullman, there are not many people Tom doesn’t get along with. In fact, he is known to build consensus with the pickiest of peers and rub shoulders with the toughest contractors on the job. His secret? He takes the time to listen, observe, and learn from just about everyone!  

Recently when Tom set out to build a tree house for his daughter, she sat him down and said, “Daddy, please don't let the perfect get in the way of the good.” So off he went with just a ruler and a pencil and finished in record time! (for an architect that is).

Tom is also quite the philosopher, who believes in the infinite power of human core strength to go out and do more good. As such he takes his training very seriously! He joins his daughter for tea and meditation in the tree house and takes cold plunges in the frigid Puget sound.

And of course, Tom keeps an open invitation to all those who want to join!
